Never paste
Student names, grades, IEP details, health notes, or family circumstances do not go into a general-purpose tool. Assume anything pasted may be retained.
Name the bias
Model outputs reflect their training data, including its skews. Ask students whose voice is missing from an answer — it is a reliable critical-reading exercise.
Write the rule down
A one-paragraph class policy stating where AI help is allowed, where it is not, and how to disclose it prevents most integrity disputes before they start.
